General Dentistry
General dentistry is a branch of dentistry that deals with diseases of the teeth in a narrower sense, as well as their restoration.
Good oral hygiene and regular check-ups are crucial for maintaining dental health. During the examination, the condition of the oral cavity is carefully assessed, identifying potential issues such as cavities, tartar buildup, and periodontal disease.
Tooth repair
Tooth repair involves replacing the lost part of the tooth, whether the cause is decay or something else that led to its damage. The damaged part of the tooth is removed, and then filled with an appropriate material such as composite (white filling), amalgam (silver filling), or ceramic.
Our approach to filling and treating teeth involves the use of top-quality materials and state-of-the-art medications, meeting the highest dental standards.
In our clinic, we offer:
- Classic and
- Digital fabrication of fillings
Ceramic fillings (inlays)
The best choice you can make for your tooth damaged by decay or an old filling is a ceramic inlay. With a ceramic inlay, the entire filling in the tooth is made of ceramic, which is much harder and more resistant than composite materials (white fillings). They do not require grinding down all surfaces of the tooth as for a crown, but only partial grinding as for a filling. Teeth that require a large filling, making them vulnerable, are particularly suitable. By placing a ceramic inlay, the lifespan of such teeth is significantly extended, with perfect aesthetics.
Root canal treatment (endodontics)
Endodontics deals with diseases of the contents of the tooth root canal, i.e., the dental pulp. Dental pulp can become diseased for various reasons, one of which is certainly dental decay.
In root canal treatment, quality preparation is crucial, which patients often associate with the work of scraping with various needles. It’s necessary to expand the tooth to a precisely defined limit, and then fill it precisely up to that limit with special materials to prevent the spread of infection.
Removal of dental calculus
Removing dental calculus is the procedure of eliminating hard and soft deposits from the tooth surfaces. This procedure not only improves the aesthetics of the smile but also reduces the risk of various oral diseases. Calculus can cause inflammation of the gums, known as gingivitis, which can ultimately lead to a more severe condition – periodontitis and loss of bone tissue with loosening and loss of teeth.
Patients are recommended to have dental calculus removed from their teeth twice a year or as advised by their dentist, and more frequently if gum diseases are present.
Tooth whitening
Teeth whitening is a common dental procedure that is gaining increasing interest among patients, often for aesthetic reasons. This procedure involves whitening natural teeth.
Patients often opt for teeth whitening due to discoloration of dead teeth, which can change color over time, or to achieve color harmony with new crowns or veneers.
The teeth whitening process involves carefully applying special gels to the surface of the teeth. If teeth whitening is conducted under appropriate conditions and under the supervision of a dentist, it is not harmful to the teeth.
